Favorite Daughter and Good Riddance

“Maybe it’s naive, maybe it’s unrealistic, but I’m going back to my ivory tower now. I’m going to sequester myself in my creative writing and literature courses, to snuggle warmly against the fire of my interest.

Because I’m done spending three hours a week being unenthusiastic. I’m just done. . .

I’m so proud of her that I could renounce everything I learned in school, in favor of what I’ve learned unschooling!

A funny coincidence as I was posting this — author Chris Hedges on the Colbert Report, just said snidely that “being homeschooled is an alternative reality” — LOL! How well that fits our homeschooling reality although not, I’m pretty sure, the way he means it.
