Brighton police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who may have information about the theft of a hard drive at a homeschool education seminar.

Detective Brad Patton of the Brighton Police Department said a vendor from BJU Press in Greenville, S.C., was showing his products at a seminar June 18 at the Holiday Inn Express, 8079 Challis Road, when a hard drive valued at $1,000 was stolen.

The hard drive is about 6 inches wide, 4 inches tall and about 2 inches thick. It contained valuable information, including lesson plans specifically geared toward homeschool educators.

The woman police are looking for was seen on hotel surveillance tape in the area around the time the theft occurred. Patton said police are interested in speaking to the woman.

The woman is of average height and weight with long, blonde hair.

Anyone with information about the woman or the theft is asked to call the Brighton Police Department.
