This is Encouraging . . .

From the latest National Journal:

“It’s very encouraging to go to the White House and when you start talking to them, they start taking notes.”

Governors and mayors given unprecedented respect and active participation in federal problem-solving, regardless of party? Could THAT be what Rush Limbaugh wants President Obama to fail at, do you think — post-partisan problem solving of, by and for the People, that involves cities and states rather than just Congress, and that actually, um, works?

The whole thing is encouraging. It is just encouraging to have thinking, listening, coherent people in charge, for a change.

That really is a change we needed! 🙂

Btw, did you see that President Obama will be announcing today, his choice of Florida’s own longtime hurricane management go-to guy, to head FEMA? Craig Fugate is thinking, listening, coherent and most importantly, results-getting. He even made Governor Bush look like a public protection star during crisis.
