How Stupid IS She, or Is She Smart Like a Pit-Grizzly-FOX?

27 10 2010

This is a scary fairy tale not for the children, made up by Sarah Palin to tell America about Marco Rubio.

Marco Rubio is no maverick and that’s simple fact. He’s the carefully groomed, obedient, adoring Jeb Bush pet pit-bully-pulpit carnival barker, raised from an attack puppy in the GOP dynasty to fleece the public and bring home their dead and broken dreams to lay at the feet of his shadowy bosses behind their cheesy tabloid facade, wagging and waiting for his pat on the head and a treat.

Sarah Palin either knew or should have known this, not even as highly paid “news” commentator much less former (beauty) half-queen or populist kingmaker remaking America forever, no, even just as a fully functioning human bei–oh wait. Okay, so that’s THREE possible explanations. . . .

Am I completely out of touch or does it seem like The Palin is slowly fading away. She’ll have her little show on Fox and that will be the last we see of her. Maybe just wishful thinking. 🙂

If someone can fade away as she gets ever shriller, then you might be right. 🙂 From your lips to the FSM’s, um, ears . . .

I early voted today, with Favorite Daughter. I had been planning for weeks to vote for the Dem in the Senate race, knowing he couldn’t win. I kept hoping either he or Crist would throw support in one unified direction so I held off. Never happened, sigh. But the other day when the polls broke and the Dem sank, I decided to vote for Crist after all. I doubt it matters this time but Florida can’t be lost forever in the grips of Bushism, surely. Maybe making it close will have some psychological effect?

This week, I heard Shannyn Moore say that Palin’s popularity in Alaska is tanking, which gives me hope that her visit to the Joe Miller rally will bring the kiss of death to his chances. Hopefully, fellow fully-functioning lunatic attendees, Bachmann, Huckabee and DeMint are also unpopular.

Palin says we can’t reject Joe Miller because he was in the military — we’re not fit to wipe his combat boots or something like that. Here’s humanist Christian thinking on what that attitude is doing to America:

As Dr. King said, “A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”

This still being America, I can reject anybody I want.

On the local front, the whole Meek/Crist choice is bugging me along with all other right-thinkign Ds, I’m sure.

Meek is going to lose big time. OK, but my brain says, if Crist is also going to lose, why not at least vote for the guy you really want, Meek.

OTOH, there was something online yesterday saying that Crist will caucus with the Ds so maybe I should vote for him. He wasn’t the worst R we’ve ever seen and he’s a whole lot saner than Rubio and the other teabaggers.

And, in the end, we will be stuck with Rubio which is just too sad.

I don’t know if it’s because they’re great but our minds thought exactly alike on that decision —

Obviously, it’s because they are great! 🙂

My orange and BLUE Gators beat black and RED Georgia in overtime last night, apparently the first time that huge rivalry game has ever gone to overtime. It was heart-stopping (heart-stomping, almost for us and surely for GA) so we could hold out hope it’s a metaphor for the election, that there will be at least a few heartening surprises for the home team, which in this case a majority does still root for, the mighty red, white and blue?

Of course my football metaphor is totally screwed up by the reality of three teams on the field at once, in the same game. 😉

And apparently it’s tackle without helmets and pads. A little help from snooking sports fans, isn’t there a name for that as a different sport (besides rugby, I mean!) Street football, maybe?
